During his PhD he worked in colorectal cancer to discover the alternative downstream effects caused by differential KRAS mutational status. Then, he was very excited to be part of a project aiming to develop a SARS-CoV-2 replicon where he gained deep knowledge in cloning, bacteria and yeast transformation, cell culture and virology. After that, he joined the endothelial cells research lab where he tried to decipher the cardiovascular role of some microRNAs in different biological backgrounds as primary HUVEC cells, murine hearts samples and then he incorporated to the targeted therapies in cancer and inflammation group in the Centro de Investigación Príncipe Felipe, where he developed the proof of concept of a small molecule with antitumoral properties in the epithelial-mesenchymal transition context. In 2024 he joined the Medicinal Chemistry Laboratory at Universidad Complutense de Madrid as a postdoctoral researcher to work on a project directed towards the development of new therapeutic strategies for the treatment of progeria.
