Alba García Martín was born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Spain) in 2002. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry at Universidad de La Laguna (ULL) in 2024. During this period, she worked in the development of new selective estrogen receptor degraders (SERDs), under the supervision of Prof. Ana M. Estévez Braun in the Department of Organic Chemistry. In addition, she carried out an internship at the Institute of Natural Products and Agrobiology (IPNA) focused on the study of new methodologies for the synthesis of divinyl ethers under the supervision of Dr. David Tejedor Aragón.
In 2025, she completed the Master’s Degree in Organic Chemistry at Universidad Complutense de Madrid. During that year, she was awarded a research collaboration fellowship and joined the Medicinal Chemistry Laboratory, where she worked on the development of new PROTACs for the treatment of progeria under the supervision of professors Silvia Ortega Gutiérrez and Henar Vázquez Villa. She is currently pursuing her PhD, also under their supervision, funded by the prestigious UCM Predoctoral Program, focusing on induced protein degradation.
