Marta Vizuete Vidal was born in Toledo (Spain), in 1999. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry at Universidad Complutense of Madrid (UCM) in 2021. During this time, she completed her undergraduate theses based in the study of the degradation of biopolymers with antimicrobial activity, under the supervision of Prof. Rocío Cuervo, in the Departament of Organic Chemistry. She also completed an internship at the Institute of Polymer Science and Technology (ICTP), CSIC focusing on the study and synthesis of different types of polymers under the supervision of Dr. Mario Hoyos.

In 2022, she completed the Master’s Degree in Organic Chemistry at Universidad Complutense de Madrid. During that year, she joined the Medicinal Chemistry laboratory to carry out her Master’s Thesis under the supervision of professors Silvia Ortega Gutiérrez and Mar Martín-Fontecha, working on the synthesis and identification of new progerin ligands for the treatment of progeria.

In October of the same year she started working at the Institute of Medical Chemistry (IQM) with a contract as a research assistant for the Community of Madrid’s research program for a year. She worked in the peptidomimetic group under the supervision and guidance of Dra Rosario González Muñíz.

Between 2023 and 2025 she studied an Advance Vocational Training in 3D animation, games and interactive environments at the Vocational Center CCC in Madrid. She is currently working as a R&D manager at the Medicinal Chemistry laboratory.
