Daniel Fernández Cabellos was born in Madrid (Spain) in 1997. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry at Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) in 2020. In her third year’s degree. He carried out an internship at the Institute of General Organic Chemistry (IQOG), working on the «Synthesis of MOF’s precursor diacids based on pyrenes» under the supervision of Dr. Félix Sánchez Alonso.

In 2021 she obtained the Master Degree in Organic Chemistry by Universidad Complutense de Madrid. During that year, was granted UCM collaboration grant he worked in the development of new compounds for the treatment of the progeria under the supervisión of  Dr. Silvia Ortega Gutiérrez (UCM).

In 2021 he joined the Medicinal Chemistry Laboratory to carry out his PhD under the supervision of Professors Silvia Ortega and Henar Vázquez. working on a research project directed towards the development of new therapeutic strategies for the treatment of progeria.
